A specialist in contemporary signature cuisine, chef Thiago Maeda is the guest this Saturday (28) at the Costao Gastronomic Festival, hosted by the Costao do Santinho Resort, in Florianópolis. With a life story related to Japanese food, Thiago Maeda presents the 'Around the World' dinner at the Nossa Senhora da Vitória Restaurant, located in the resort's International Hotel.
Promoted to celebrate the culinary art of Santa Catarina and the world and to provide even more unforgettable experiences to the guests of Costao do Santinho Resort, the Costao Gastronomic Festival is reaching its final stretch. The event has been held every Saturday since August 3, with participation from renowned chefs: Dudu Poerner, Filipe Duarte, Matheus Zanchini, Roberto Bocabello, Thiago Chiericatti, Willian Vieira, Edson Yamashita. The program concludes with Gonzala Vidal on the upcoming October 5.
Thiago Maeda transitioned from his family's restaurant kitchen to the renowned D.O.M. restaurant. Following contemporary signature cuisine, Maeda gained national recognition with the 'Side' restaurant in São Paulo, and the renowned Bistrot Bagatelle in Rio de Janeiro. In 2021, Maeda opened Koya88, a mix of izakaya, bar, and omakase, and the Bar Bagaceira, in partnership with bartender Thiago Pereira. In November 2023, the duo opened Krøzta on the same street, an Italian bistro with a cosmopolitan spirit, serving signature dishes and pizza.
"The Costao Gastronomic Festival has been a success and now we reach the final stretch with the scheduled dinners of chefs Thiago Maeda and Gonzalo Vidal. We are receiving many positive reviews, both regarding the dishes and the services offered, including table service, and the pairing with wines, spirits, and sparkling wines," highlights Nahuel Augotr, A&B coordinator at Costao.
In addition to the participation of guest chefs, the Costao Gastronomic Festival includes the participation of resort chefs in gastronomic reinterpretations at the Nossa Senhora das Ondas Restaurant. On Saturdays, during lunch, they lead the Inspirational Culinary Station, offering one of the acclaimed dishes from the chefs participating in the festival.
